Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications

To apply for any of these pharmacy profiles,candidates must ensure they fulfill the basic criteria as of the closing date (3rd July 2026):

Dispensing Attendant / Pharmacist / Pharmacist Grade II

  • Essential Qualification: A Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized University or Institution.
  • Registration: Candidates must be registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act,1948.
  • Age Limit: Generally between 21 to 27 years for most AIIMS institutes.However,a few institutes like AIIMS New Delhi and CNCI allow applications up to 30 years, and AIIMS Rajkot allows up to 18–30 years.
  • Higher Degrees: Candidates holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) are also explicitly permitted to apply.

Note on Desirable Experience: Some institutes note a preference for candidates who have experience in dispensing/storage of drugs or in the manufacture/testing of transfusion fluids in a reputed hospital or industrial setting.


Application Fees

The application fee must be paid online via Debit Card,Credit Card, or Net Banking:

  • General / OBC Candidates: Rs.3000/-
  • SC / ST / EWS Candidates: Rs.2400/- (Fee is refunded to SC/ST candidates after they appear in the exam)
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwBD): Exempted from paying fees

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

Selection will be based entirely on the merit list generated from the performance in the online Computer Based Test (CBT).There is no structural interview round for these positions.

  • Exam Duration: 90 Minutes
  • Total Questions: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) worth a total of 400 marks (4 marks per question).
  • Section Breakdown:
    • General Part (20 MCQs): General Knowledge,Aptitude, and Basic Knowledge of Computers.
    • Domain Part (80 MCQs): Core Pharmacy subjects based on the technical education standards.
  • Negative Marking: There is a penalty of 1/4 mark deduction for every incorrect response.
  • Medium of Exam: The test will be conducted in English only for the pharmacy domain.
